Meize Guo

Treasurer & Technical Support Team Lead

Meize is a fourth year PhD student in the IST Program. Meize taught high school Chinese at Susung High School, Suwon, South Korea from 2011 to 2012, then at Wheatmore High School, Trinity, NC from 2012 to 2013. Her research focus is on Instructional Design and Technology Integration, especially the use of design thinking in technology integration, in terms of teacher education and teacher professional development. She is very excited to be a part of the IST department and hopes to help with preparing both in-service and pre-service teachers to integrate technology in K-12 classrooms through professional development in the future.

Khadijah Alghamdi

Proposal Selection Team Lead

A first year PhD student in IST with master degree in the same major and a bachelor degree in computer science. She has more than twelve  years experience in teaching high school and undergraduate students in her country Saudi Arabia. Her main area of interest is about MOOCS and blended learning.

Victoria Abramenka

Hospitality Team Lead

Victoria is a second-year Ph. D. student in the IST PhD Program. Before coming to IU, Victoria coordinated international cross-border curriculum design for higher education, integrating web-based technologies and successfully implementing innovative instructional tools in international teaching and learning, in the US and in her home country, Belarus. Victoria research revolves around online instructional design, hybrid and blended learning, and the integration of technology into inclusive and participatory teaching methodologies. She believes that quality online instructional can bridge the gap in global educational disparities and improve access to all for lifelong learning. 

Lona Robertson

Registration Team Lead

Lona Robertson is in her third year of the Ed.D. program in IST, and hopes to graduate in 2019. An educator for over 25 years, Lona has enjoyed a variety of roles from teacher to instructional designer to administrator. Having started as an ESL teacher, Lona became interested in instructional design when she saw the potential for online language learning. Not knowing much about educational technology, she completed her M.Ed. in Distance Education and worked as an online classroom facilitator and content writer for GlobalEnglish for 10 years. 

Jennifer Park

Creative, Advertising and Social Media Team Lead

Jennifer is a first year Ph.D. student in the Instructional Systems Technology (IST) program. She is interested in doing research on organizational learning, effective teams, multicultural teams, multigenerations in workplaces, informal learning (mentoring), and women in leadership. Prior to joining IST, Jennifer was a Master’s student in Education at McGill University in Montréal, Québec. Her MA thesis is about Silence in Classrooms. Her work experiences include corporate sector as well as education.
